AI CV Score (“the App”) is a free AI-powered CV scoring and rewriting tool developed as an indie project. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or location.

The following non-personal data is stored locally on your device only using SharedPreferences and SQLite:

CV analysis history and ATS scores
Job description inputs (stored locally)
App preferences and settings

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.

2. CV Content & AI Processing

When you upload a CV for analysis, the extracted text content is sent to the Groq API (a third-party AI service) solely to generate your ATS score and improvement suggestions. This data is processed transiently and is not stored by us on any server.

Groq's data practices are governed by the Groq Privacy Policy. We recommend avoiding uploading CVs containing sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for scoring.

3. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
IP address and general location
App interaction data

AdMob's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising via your device settings (Google Settings → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).

4. Third-Party SDKs

The App integrates the following third-party libraries:

Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — ad delivery
Groq API — AI-powered CV analysis (text sent transiently for processing)
SharedPreferences & SQLite — local on-device storage only
Google Fonts — fonts loaded at runtime via Google APIs
share_plus — sharing score cards (no data collection)

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Data Security

All app data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers or databases that store your information. CV text sent to the Groq API for analysis is transmitted over HTTPS and is not retained by us.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
